You are not witty, just offensive. I could say offensive and equally false things about Obama (or even Wright) based upon the color of his skin. Grow up and find a world view that contains some kind of maturity.

Honesty is good. But honesty is really not served by someone who is vehemently ideological rushing to smear every single person who might possibly have contributed to something the ideologue hates.
I'm not saying this because I supported the invasion of Iraq. I think it was horribly wrong. But I can't stand anti-war activists who are themselves so full of hate that they have to demonize whatever is connected to the war.
Making a single thing, idea, or event the focal point for all your rage is reminiscent of a deranged mind.

Science fiction. And Catholicism. Do I really need to say more? If so, then let this suffice: a sane perspective is a hard thing to come by, but from what I have seen this blog has it, and in abundance.

I'm no fan of socially liberal Christians, but I'm also not going to plant my ass down on certain old testament dicta and dismiss others. So unless you want to give up shrimp cocktails and mixed-material clothing, then for the love of God stop beating Leviticus.

Although I was religiously homeschooled and that was at least a part of the reason that I even WAS homeschooled, I don't look back on my experience thinking to myself "If only there were religion in public school."

Logical Fallacies and How to Spot Them

I'll be honest: I'm neither a fan of Biblical literalists nor absolute secularists. Personally, I don't see how evolution would preclude the Christians' God in any particular way; I'm also not deluded enough to believe that evolutionary theory is somehow a bedrock of scientific data (hence why I prefer to use the term "hypothesis" when dealing with the issue).

On top of this, I found the tone to be mildly condescending. A truly fruitful debater seeks to actually try to make his opponent see some validity in his position; you go after a person like that and you're just going to drive them deeper into a hole.

Personally, on questions such as physical origins (questions which are, in my view, utterly meaningless for ME in the PRESENT) I tend to treat everything as brain candy to be toyed with and picked apart. It's not that big a deal.
